Where the water meets the sky…Everglades National Park
Last night I dreamt of dark alligators and pink sunsets and then this morning, a friend we call NakedLaurie invited me to come with her down to Coral Castle and then to Everglades National Park to watch the sunset and full moon rise.
I saw an alligator:
Lots of them.
Laurie did her Qi Gong
And we watched the sunset.
And the moonrise.
Coral Castle was also very cool. Ever wonder how a 5′0 100 pound man could move 6,000 pounds of coral rock, enough to make a small fortress? Stay tuned for my next post…naughty pics included…

Awesome pictures, as usual. Sunsets are done to death, photography-wise, but that one is really exceptional.
The mystery of Coral Castle is an interesting story. I used to live down in that area, in Pompano Beach, but I didn’t even know Coral Castle existed until after I’d moved away. For that matter, I only ever made it out into the Everglades two or three times in the year I lived down there. Oh well…

That alligator looks unreal! I haven’t seen one for so many years, I remember going to the Zoo with my grandfather when I was maybe 6 and seeing the enclosures they lived in, and the way they seemed to float. At least that is how I remember it. I’d love to see one again, but I’m not going back to the zoo to do it!
Do they charge at you or anything?! You must have been close for that picture.

I saw a documentary about Coral Castle not too long ago. It is truly an awesome accomplishment. The architect constructed the castle in dedication to his long lost love. Aww. I really want to go there sometime soon. Seems like it would be an neat place to visit. Did you take naughty pictures there?
