You don’t really need to do anything much to convert a diesel engine to run on biodiesel. If it’s really old (and a VW Microbus may be old enough to require this), you might need to replace the natural-rubber hoses with synthetics, as biodiesel can dissolve natural rubber. A little conversion is necessary to run on straight vegetable oil, however. From what I’ve read, the Elsbett company in Germany makes some excellent conversion kits for this purpose.
Do you spin fire, or just want to learn? I know a couple people who do that. It’s so cool to see it done well. I got to play with some fire-less poi this past week, actually. I’d never tried it before, so I wasn’t about to attempt anything with actual fire. Heh…
